Gearing up for the new year

Well Christmas is over, but our decorations are still up for a few more days. We have not yet celebrated with Scott's sister, as her kids were sick for Christmas, so we are waiting until Monday to officially end our celebrations. We took a very nice trip to OH where we enjoyed spending some time with Shelley's family, and the plane trip was quick and easy. We were all exhausted when we got back, and we took a little 4 hour family nap that afternoon! We are going to Miss Tamara's for awhile this evening, but calling it quits early as Avery will need to be in bed long before the ball drops. It has been such an amazing year, and I have very high expectations for 2006. No New Years resolutions are being made this year, expect Shelley would really like to fit into all her old clothes before she gets pregnant again. Although due to the fact that Shelley doesn't like to go to the gym or do much in the way of exercise, she is hoping the few extra pounds just magically disappear due to feeding Avery the good old fashioned way! Here we are on Christmas Eve night at our house.

Christmas Party

Wednesday was the last day of school and we had a big Christmas party complete with Santa. All the kids got to see Santa, and Avery got to sit on his lap as well. Now Shelley gets a two week break, and Scott has a week off to spend with his family and to work on his home, a never ending project. Construction is on pause as we are waiting for a couple of doors, so Scott is just doing some painting, and Shelley has been cleaning up all the construction dust, baking cookies, and taking care of Avery. Never a dull moment around the Daniel house.

Preparing for the holidays

Today is Dec 20, and we are all getting ready for Christmas. Scott's family is coming here for Christmas Eve, and then Christmas morning we will be flying out to Cleveland to spend a few days with Shelley's family. The stockings are packed, and just one more work day until a 2 week vacation for Shelley, and week for Scott. Avery is ready too! This is Avery's first Christmas, and she will be 5 1/2 months old.
